Mother posted Facebook tribute to ‘angel’ daughters after murdering them

A mother who killed her 2 young daughters as they ‘got in the way of her sex life’ wrote on Facebook that her ‘angels’ had been taken away from her ‘too soon’.

Louise Porton, 23, had denied killing 17-month-old Scarlett Vaughan and Lexi trader, three, however following a five-week trial, a jury found her guilty on Friday.

Birmingham Crown Court heard how the part-time model suffocated Lexi within the early hours of January 15, last year and accepted 41 friend requests on a dating app simply a day later.

She was heard ‘laughing’ at the funeral and seemed to be ‘using FaceTime’ and ‘speaking to a man,’ in line with the funeral arranger.
Scarlett met identical fate as her sister on February 1, whose body had signs of injury in the neck tissue, the court detected.

Just months after murdering her ‘angels’ the ‘evil’ mother took to Facebook to post 2 snaps of her girls captioned: ‘Mommy’s angels taken from me too soon. You will never be forgotten. RIP.’

The court detected how Lexi had fallen ill with a chest infection simply two weeks before she was killed.

Lexi was taken to hospital on 2 separate days however whereas she was there Porton took topless photos within the toilets and organized to perform sex acts for money with men she had met online, jurors were told.

The mum-of-two, formerly of Skiddaw, in Rugby, Warwickshire, was later detected ‘laughing’ at a funeral 2 days before she killed Scarlett on February 1.

During the trial, prosecutor Oliver Saxby QC said: ‘The overwhelming reasoning is that Lexi and Scarlett died as a result of someone deliberately interfered with their breathing.
‘That someone can only have been this suspect.’

Sentencing judge Amanda Yip told Porton her actions were ‘evil’ and ‘calculated’.

She said: ‘These were innocent young kids who were plainly vulnerable and got to have been able to rely on their mother to protect and nurture them.

‘Instead you took their young lives away.’
Porton had denied wrong-doing throughout, telling police in a prepared statement: ‘My kids were never an inconvenience to me and I accommodated my life style and private life around them.

‘I still don’t know how my daughters died, or what caused it.’
